Job Description: Marketing Associate 

Summary  

The Marketing Associate is responsible for assistance in planning and driving execution of Tradeshow efforts, as well as assisting with additional marketing campaigns, making sales calls in the field, and digital collateral. Attendance at symposiums and exhibitions is required.  

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Travel with outside sales representatives and/or make calls to doctors’ offices to gauge marketing response. 
  • Independently travel to make sales calls to Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, Opticians, Dermatologists, and Skin Care professions and meet with the doctors, staff, and purchaser(s) to directly market products into the practice as well as market a variety of prescription products to patients and providers.  
  • Must be comfortable in social interaction within the doctors' offices. 
  • Coordinate annual tradeshow planning process, including show list development, goals, registrations, sponsorships, scheduling, ordering supplies, installation, labor, shipping requirements, vendors, and supplies. 
  • Work in collaboration with the core business units and subsidiary companies to plan the company’s tradeshow schedule. 
  • Maintain event project management software and event specific spreadsheets. 
  • Work with booth vendors, show vendors, etc. to ensure timely, cost-effective execution. 
  • Complete, file and manage tradeshow and expo registration and vendor order forms. 
  • Identify and implement best practices into all aspects of the planning process. 
  • Coordinate sponsorship and tradeshow communication schedule, including working with internal partners on upcoming activities. 
  • Support forecasting for event sampling and collateral. 
  • Ensure that all events managed have specific, measurable objectives and that there are systems and procedures in place to measure success or failure against those objectives. 
  • Oversee process to inventory trade show equipment, optimize show prep process and return of all goods and equipment. 
  • Organize preparation, packing, and shipping of tradeshow and exposition materials. 
  • Assist in additional sales and marketing meetings, conferences, and training. 
  • Support the full cycle of event logistics for speaker management. 
  • Assist with protocols for staffing, lead capture systems, and AV/technical coordination. 
  • Participate in post-show reporting and evaluation. 
  • Prepare instructions for each tradeshow and communicate information to appropriate attendee(s).  
  • Assist with travel arrangements (flight, car, hotel) if necessary.  
  • Assign meeting codes and monitor meeting budget. 
  • Attend select tradeshows to assist with setup and building customer relations. 
  • Coordinate communication and promotions to customers before and after tradeshows. 
  • Assign and monitor sales offer codes as well as evaluate the effectiveness of each promotion. 
  • Update the tradeshow calendar on the company website. 
  • Brainstorm ideas and provide feedback as part of the Marketing Team.  
  • Monitor all social media platforms for traffic, comments, updates, reviews, and any changes required. 
  • Responsible for social media searches to improve SEO efforts and track competitors marketing efforts and growth. 
  • Responsible for Sampling to Influencers, Online KOL’s and other target audiences as needed as well as ensuring appropriate follow-up communications. 
  • Responsible for studying industry and social media trends to facilitate new project development. 
  • Assists with coordination of promotional and sponsorship opportunities for the company. 
  • Facilitate professional relationships through social media networking. 
  • Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality. 
  • Research industry trends to facilitate design creation.
