ROLE SUMMARY

The Executive Director is at the heart of our operations, steering us towards our goal of a suicide-free Kansas. They will be the chief administrator, overseeing financial management, program development, public relations, volunteer development, and fundraising efforts. Working closely with the Board of Directors and partner agencies, they will ensure that HeadQuarters Kansas continues to be a pillar of support and innovation in suicide prevention.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Champion the HeadQuarters Kansas Mission: Drive our strategic vision, ensuring our core values are at the forefront of every decision and action.
- Operational Excellence: Manage day-to-day operations, fostering a smoothly functioning organization that meets the needs of those we serve.
- Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate strong relationships with the Board of Directors and partner agencies, securing support and resources for our programs.
- Funding and Fiscal Responsibility: Diversify our funding sources while managing fiscal matters with integrity, ensuring the organization's sustainability.
- Advocacy and Representation: Be the voice of HeadQuarters Kansas, advocating for suicide prevention across Kansas and beyond.
- Program Oversight: Guide our team in developing and implementing impactful programs, always with compliance and best practices in mind.
- Team Leadership: Lead our dedicated staff, fostering an environment of growth, collaboration, and excellence.
- A deep commitment to suicide prevention and mental health advocacy.
- Proven leadership experience in nonprofit management, with a track record of achieving results.
- Strategic vision with the ability to execute on ambitious goals.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing substantial operating budgets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- A history of successful fundraising and resource development.
- Experience partnering with a Board of Directors.
- Inclusion of cover letter with initial application.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in relevant field.
