Accounting and Finance Manager with CPA

Minimum Education Required:

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting/finance; master's degree preferred

· Current CPA license

Minimum Experience Required:

· 15+ years of combined experience (staff accountant, senior staff accountant, or accounting manager)

· 5+ years of management experience

· Strong experience with corporate tax, multi-state payroll tax, and sales taxes

· Experience with Big Four CPA firm preferred

Required Skills:

· Senior-level knowledge of accounting principles (i.e., GAAP), practices, and procedures on manual and automated
systems

· Expert-level understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure

· Strong understanding of financial statements and monthly variance analysis reports

· Proficiency using accounting systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, NetSuite)

· Demonstrated judgment, strong decision-making ability, effective problem-solving skills, and acute attention to detail

· Excellent PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheets, and ability to learn additional programs as required

Job Duties (including but not limited to):

General Accounting (30%)

· Ensure the accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions

· Support budget and forecasting activities

· Collaborate with the other department managers to support overall department goals and objectives regarding budget

· Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions

· Supervise the general ledger to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met

· Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy

· Meet financial accounting objectives
