Job Summary:
Under general supervision, this position oversees the financial operations of an organization. The incumbent advises on investment and monitors a specific business unit/department's financial health. They work closely with management to develop and implement strategies to achieve the company's short and long-term objectives. The incumbent has demonstrated performance, proven finance strategy execution, and cross-functional influence.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize financial opportunities regarding revenue enhancement and expense management throughout their aligned business unit/department
  • Utilize data infrastructure by extracting, aggregating, and dissecting financial data and performance metrics to act as an adviser during business unit/department reviews
  • Create financial models, research external economic trends, & leading indicators to advise on business unit/department strategy
  • Maintains an awareness of general economic, competitive, business, and financial conditions and communicates impact on business operations to key stakeholders Lead special projects related to business development and strategic growth on an ad-hoc basis
  • Create mechanisms to manage budgets, forecasts, and actual results to drive improved accuracy and attainment of financial plans
  • Interpret and communicate results to appropriate levels of management, assessing for risk and opportunity trends
  • Steward internal controls review to ensure compliance with required controls and processes
  • Develop Finance training materials and content to educate various levels of finance and non-finance colleagues
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3-4 years in business administration, business analysis, finance, and/or military equivalent.
  • AND/OR Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military experience, or other experiences:
  • Ability to make independent time-sensitive decisions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to influence cross-functionally
  • Ability to produce financial forecasts
  • Knowledge of economic trends
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies/software applications
  • Knowledge of Financial & Accounting Systems
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Excel, and Access
  • Ability to successfully manage a P&L
  • Ability to write and present formal financial reports
  • Knowledge of formal budgeting processes

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration/Management, Communication, Transportation Logistics, or related field with 5 or more years of experience in a Financial Manager-specific role.

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company's bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
