Sales Assistant

We are looking for a Sales Assistant with a technical background in engineering, sales, and customer service, to make a positive connection with our customers. Someone who is outgoing, likable, comfortable on the phone, and most importantly, a solution provider!

Sales Assistants are typically responsible for:

• Answering customer calls and offering assistance
• Recommending products or merchandise to help customers
• Informing customers about sales, promotions, and policies
• Pulling and packing customer orders for shipping
• Receiving and Taking inventory
• Following up on trade show leads for the Sales team.
• Maintains and updates records in our CRM database (ACT)
• Resolves order and inventory problems by investigating data and history, identifying alternate means for filling orders, and notifying managers and customers.
• Forwards samples by entering requests, arranging shipments, and notifying customers.

Requirements:

• Extremely comfortable on the phone with customers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Computer data entry skills
• Excellent Customer service and people skills
• Critical thinking
• Selling skills
• Organizational skills
• Computer literacy
• Proficiency in Windows-based programs
• Comfortable cold calling (if needed).
• Ability to "think outside the box" to develop customer service requirements and implement total solutions
• Knowledge in Quickbooks a plus!

Education and Experience Requirements:

•  Associates Degree
• Technical degree in engineering preferred
• 0-3 years experience in sales
• On-the-job training provided

Compensation: $40,000 to $50,000 Annually
