Job Summary
Our client seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager/Recruiter for a part-time role with the potential to transition into a full-time position after a 90-day probationary period. This position requires the ability to work on-site in Manhattan. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the company's human resources and recruitment functions. Our client is an outpatient mental health clinic providing a groundbreaking approach to mental health care, emphasizing the importance of accessibility, the power of virtual connection, and the value of empathetic understanding in the exploration of personal growth and healing.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Hiring
- Post job openings on various platforms and manage the job advertising process
- Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate evaluations
- Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers
- Assist in the selection and hiring process for support staff positions
Onboarding and Employee Relations
- Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition
- Manage employee relations and address any employment-related concerns or conflicts
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures
Payroll and Benefits Administration
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with regulations
- Administer and maintain employee benefits programs, serving as the primary point of contact
- Coordinate with external vendors and providers for payroll, benefits, and retirement plans
Compliance and Auditing
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies
- Conduct periodic audits of HR records and documentation to maintain accuracy and completeness
- Update and maintain compliance posters across all company locations
Training and Development
- Support leadership in identifying training needs and developing initiatives
- Coordinate and facilitate training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies
- Assist in performance management processes and provide guidance to managers
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and conflict resolution experience
- Ability to conduct effective interviews (phone, video, in-person)
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and regulatory issues
- 3+ years of experience in HR, recruitment, or related field
- Familiarity with job boards, applicant tracking systems, and HRIS
- Proven success in full-cycle recruitment process
- Advanced knowledge of Zoho systems
- Familiarity with HR administration software (e.g., ADP, Gusto)
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field
- Prior experience developing and implementing HR policies and systems
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
