Sales Engineer

The Canalta Group of Companies is a privately held Canadian owned company focusing on the manufacturing and service of industrial control and measurement equipment, specifically targeting the gas industry and supplying product internationally. We are currently recruiting for a Sales Engineer at our head office in Red Deer, AB.

What will you do?

• Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team throughout the sales process, including product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions with customers.
• Work closely with customers to understand their requirements and design technical solutions that meet their needs using our products or services.
• Develop a deep understanding of our products or services, including their features, functionality, and benefits, and effectively communicate this information to customers.
• Act as a liaison between the sales team and engineering/product development teams, providing feedback on customer requirements and helping to prioritize new features and enhancements
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, technical specifications, and sales activities, and provide regular reports to management on sales performance and market trends.

What do you need?

• Preference is given to candidates possessing Mechanical or Process Engineering background with previous experience reading blueprints
  
• Proven history in technical sales
• Previous experience with Solidworks is an asset
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong people skills, including empathy, active listening, and the ability to build rapport, are essential for success in this role.
