JOB SUMMARY:

As part of the Talent Acquisition team, and under general supervision, this position provides Human Resources Onboarding Services to employees, departments, and external customers of MarinHealth. This position has primary responsibility for the onboarding of new hires, which includes leading New Hire Orientation, managing pre-employment process, proctoring training, and personnel file management. Excellent customer service, confidentiality, initiative, and organizational skills are necessary for the Onboarding Associate. This role may have the opportunity to assist in the recruitment sourcing process with other recruiters on the team as well.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION
  • High School diploma required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of three years experience in a business setting involving heavy public/employee contact.
  • Human Resources and some HRIS experience required.
  • HR onboarding experience preferred.

PREREQUISITE SKILLS
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills used to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner, including abiding by legal timelines
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills essential to ensure service excellence in Human Resources and intradepartmental and interdepartmental relationships
  • Ability to work with others in a flexible and cooperative manner

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL (not modifiable)
  1. Processing of all employee paperwork and personnel transactions for the area(s) of responsibility in a timely and accurate manner
  2. Responsible for maintaining any record-keeping and reporting databases in area(s) of responsibility. This includes all applicable data displays
  3. Responsible for responding to inquiries and resolving any discrepancies in area(s) of responsibility. Act as liaison with appropriate vendors
  4. Owns the pre-employment processes, including candidate communication, completion of required pre-employment screens, escalating when appropriate.
  5. Enters assigned data into HRIS and/or related database(s) in a timely and accurate manner, meeting all assigned timelines. Generates specific reports from databases on a scheduled and as needed basis. Verifies reports as requested
  6. Manage New Hire Orientation including candidate prep and scheduling, training materials, logistics, compliance, and communication to hiring managers as needed.
  7. Proctors required Apex training for eligible employees. Manages logistics, communication, planning, set up, liaison, and trouble shooting.
  8. Assists in the sourcing of candidates, completion of reference checks, and other talent acquisition needs.
  9. Offers continuous process improvements, implements best practices, and streamlining opportunities.
  10. May provide basic training and guidance in area(s) of expertise to other Human Resources staff
  11. Provides timely and accurate information in a courteous manner to employees and external customers regarding Human Resources processes, personnel policies, and procedures
  12. Assists other Human Resources staff with special projects on an as needed basis
