Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Defenseand Space (BDS) Space Launch System (SLS)Financial Operations team is seeking a highly motivatedExperiencedFinancial Analyst (VIRUTAL) to join the team working on the largest and most powerful rocket ever produced. This position is based out of New Orleans, Louisiana in a virtual capacity.

n this role, you will have the opportunity to work within the SLS Program and the BDS Finance Organization. You will provide financial and cost management analysis, preparing information for briefings to all levels of Finance and Program leadership.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, analyze, and maintain cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines including earned value variances
  • Develop resource forecasts and/or Estimates at Completion (EACs) for control accounts
  • Partners with members of the Finance team, Scheduling, IPT Leaders, and Cost Account Mangers (CAMs) and uses collaborative relationships within and outside the organization to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals
  • Prepares monthly financial reporting, both internal and external
  • Compiles data from different sources and develops performance reports
  • Initiates variance analysis and provides understanding of operational and financial performance to management
  • Makes recommendations to management on financial performance projections using financial and business knowledge and experience
  • Leads affordability initiatives and exercises

This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States of America.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business, or other related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a finance related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)
  • 1+years of experience in Program Management Best Practices (i.e., Requirements Management, Resource Management, Integrated Planning and Scheduling, Financial Oversight (EVM), Program Performance Management, Supplier Integration, RIO (Risk, Issue, Opportunity) Management, Program Communication, Senior Leadership Reviews, etc.)
  • Experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
  • Experience effectively working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking virtual environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Acted in a lead position previously - formally or informally
  • Experience working with and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives
  • Working with senior management or program management

Typical Education & Experience:

Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
