Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, inclusive team aimed at shaping the future of Lightwave Dental as we continue to grow our business and drive business value, a best-in-class employee experience and effective delivery of HR programs, services, and support. The Sr. HR Generalist position will work remotely and will interface with employees and managers both virtually and in person to provide HR high quality, seamlessly integrated operational support for the business, the employees, and managers.
 
The ideal candidate will be located within our current business footprint of Virginia
Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively with HR team and the business in the development and implementation of HR initiatives to align with business initiatives.
• Provide hands-on support to employees and managers to better understand and utilize HR tools, processes, and policies; maximize organizational effectiveness, improve performance, ensure compliance; and balance the demands of business objectives with the need for consistency across the Company.
• Develop solutions to problems that require ingenuity and innovation and ensure solution are consistent with organizational objectives and seek opportunities for process improvements/optimization and the design of new processes, including automation in HRIS.
• Assist in resolving employee relations issues. Supports HRBP with effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
• Coach managers and employees to resolve employee relations issues, improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention, including creating and implementing coaching plans, making training recommendations, or other interventions as appropriate.
• Manage the Leave of Absence and FMLA process. Liaison with employees on leave.
• Help support an environment of diversity and inclusion.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Assist with monitoring the HR Team inbox, research and/or escalate, and respond to inquiries within 24 business hours.
• Support Onboarding and Integration processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned and complete administrative duties as needed for the role.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred and/or equivalent experience.
• 4-7 years related experience required.
• Experience using HR software and HRIS databases.
• Demonstrate a high level of integrity, organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Commitment to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Emotional Intelligence is needed for this role.
• Effective decision making and analytical skills.
• HR Certification preferred (SHRM/PHR).
 
Skills/Other Requirements
• Ability to work remote.
• Ability to use a computer/laptop.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in person, by telephone and video conference.
• Ability to travel within the business footprint when needed.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, while managing multiple priorities and
meeting deadlines.
