Job Summary:
Qualcomm is a leader in wireless communication technologies and is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join their Government Technologies division. This role involves working on an Information Security and Risk Management team dedicated to securing Qualcomm’s Government business unit, utilizing cutting-edge tools to protect against cyber threats.
Responsibilities:
• Work on an Information Security and Risk Management team dedicated to securing Qualcomm’s Government business unit.
• Utilize cutting edge tools and grow skills across the entire spectrum of Cyber Security while proactively protecting, shielding and defending the business unit from cyber threats.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active U.S. Government security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and 1 yr of relevant experience or No degree and 3+ years of relevant experience.
• A passion for cyber security
• Excellent communication skills
• Curiosity and enthusiasm
• Willingness to learn
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of cybersecurity-relevant work experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of cybersecurity-relevant work experience.
Preferred:
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
• 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Cloud security architecture, tooling, and monitoring
• Microsoft Cloud technologies such as Entra ID, Purview and Defender, preferably in GCC High
• Amazon Web Services technologies such as CloudTrail, GuardDuty, CloudWatch, AWS Security Groups, etc., preferably in GovCloud
• Security Operations to include security event monitoring and incident review
• Creating threat detections in cloud, host, and network security tooling
• Security Automation and scripting
• Incident Response
• Threat Hunting
• Application Security
• Penetration Testing
