Job description

About the role
This is an outstanding opportunity to work in a team setting in the Best in Class, fast paced environment with the world's largest commercial real estate company!
The Associate Project Manager will assist Project Management teams on capital project delivery and solutions for clients, with direct accountability for project delivery.
This is an onsite position and requires someone to be onsite 5 days per week in West Point, PA corporate campuses to regularly monitor and supervise ongoing construction projects.
What you'll do
  • Assist Managers in all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for individual projects including planning, design, construction, occupancy and closeout.
  • Demonstrates capability to read, understand and apply standard documents affecting projects, including but not limited to: agreements/contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys and drawings.
  • Collaborate and work directly with client to define project requirements. Prepare scopes of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
  • Support commissioning and startup activities in alignment with project milestones.
  • Identifies project resources from pre-qualified lists; conducts simple request for proposals and completes bid analysis with your management's support. Recommends resources to clients.
  • Implement communication plans for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep client and project resources advised. Facilitate project meetings.
  • Implement change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, secure client approvals, and issue change orders. Assesses change requests to confirm and resolve impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk with your management's support.
  • Implement standard risk management routines with management support, to identify project risks, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
  • Track progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Reports status and variances. Crafts action plans to meet objectives, budget and schedule.
  • May manage smaller projects as assigned. Lead project delivery resources/team (typically smaller team) and provide mentorship and direction to achieve project goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What you'll need
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. Instead of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Experience supporting capital projects in pharmaceutical, manufacturing or regulated industries is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Working understanding in MS Project is helpful.
  • Previous AEC experience preferred and should include construction project management, owner's rep, or project management experience for commercial projects including knowledge of MEPF system design and construction.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and knowledge of leases, contracts, and construction practices is helpful.
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly sophisticated problems and the ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an inquisitive mentality.
