Step beyond the classroom and apply your technical knowledge in the real world. Verdantas is seeking a driven Environmental Intern for Summer 2026 at our Somerville, NJ location.
We're looking for a talented and inquisitive engineering intern who's eager to apply their skills in a real-world setting and learn from experienced professionals. This internship offers hands-on exposure to engineering projects that make a tangible impact, along with mentorship from a collaborative team that values innovation and curiosity. You'll gain practical experience in problem-solving, design, and development, while building a strong foundation for your future career in engineering.

What You'll Do:
  • Assisting with fieldwork (e.g., sampling of various media, site inspections, subcontractor oversight, and in a support role for field scientists)
  • Researching, collecting, and entering data
  • Assisting with environmental assessments of due diligence and site remediation projects
  • Assisting with preparing technical reports
  • Playing a key role in delivering an above-and-beyond experience for our clients

What You'll Bring:
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Environmental Sciences or a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to independently seek answers to questions
  • Must be able to write effectively and articulate outcomes to clients and team members
  • Valid driver's license
  • A positive attitude and desire to learn
  • Relevant internship, co-op, and/or classwork experience
  • Experience in ArcMap/ArcGIS
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Salary Range:
20.00 - 22.00
