Job Description Responsible for the successful creation and delivery of the company's reporting assets including creation and maintenance of the overall Vitas data warehouse foundation. Responsible for building and leading the EDW / BI teams in a 1-over-1 management structure with a focus on new innovative software solutions for VITAS businesses and customers. Manage teams to ensure day-to-day execution, life-cycle management and long-term strategic vision and tactical technology roadmaps to achieve strategic vision. Create, refine and implement the company’s data warehouse foundation. Lead execution on tactical roadmap to guide the organization in leveraging data to create patient centered improvements as well as administrative/economic advantage. Key stakeholder on implementation of a sound governance program including roles and relationships; standards, policies and procedures that manage the quality, consistency, usability, and availability of information across the enterprise; and identify, assess and prioritize data-driven/dependent projects. Develop and standardize report development process and framework to meet user requirements and facilitate business management and decision-making. Collaborate with Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence and IT groups to source and organize data. Consult on internal process and systems changes needed to capture and utilize data stores, including management options for third-party sources of additional data. Ensure optimal data architecture and technology systems are in place.

Provide tactical leadership to standardize how data is sourced, integrated, and consumed across the enterprise and aligned with the business strategy. Supervise team of data warehouse professionals, and mentor best practices on data consumption, modeling, analytics and reporting: helping convert data into insights and actionable decisions. Lead data quality efforts within the VITAS organization and serve as a central authority for the resolution of data issues. Support building a culture where information is proactively used to identify market opportunities, manage risk, and guide administrative/clinical practices Engage with senior business leaders, product owners and internal/external customers to understand market needs & vision; quickly translate market, business and technical needs into demonstrable software on a regular rhythm. Work with senior business leaders and product owners to manage program definition, execution, launch and support; defining and executing against multi- generation software technology plans. Work closely to ensure oversight and compliance rhythms Collaborate with Finance, HR, IT and other functions to achieve needed support Strategy and tactical execution of team structure and resource assignments to align with program demands. Advance technical and leadership expertise through coaching, mentoring, grooming and promotions. Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse; support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities Define the technological strategy in conjunction with the development team of each project: pipeline, tools and key development procedures Assess technical risk and mitigation plans and escalates to Project Leaders. Create a model that supports the organization's mission and values based on an internal and external needs assessment. Monitor the internal/external environment and identify opportunities to fulfill the corporate strategy. Set priorities for planning activities for assigned unit. Serve as strategic liaison for key organizational initiatives between business units and their customers, both internal and external. Assess current operational business models and develop appropriate new models as needed. Approve personnel actions such as new hire requests and discharges, to ensure proper staffing Participate in policy development. Perform related duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years’ experience architecting, overseeing and leading technical teams in analytics, data warehousing or software development; ideally with a healthcare organization. Hands on experience with Business Intelligence visualization, dashboards and data mining tools highly preferred. Mental flexibility, including ability to dive deep into details of the data to ensure quality, while understanding the big picture objectives of a given project Proven experience leading design, delivery and governance of major cross-functional business efforts. Ability to understand complex issues and develop meaningful analysis and recommendations. Strong communication skills able to support independent viewpoints to senior leadership Exceptional written communication skills and experience creating high-impact presentations, intuitive and well-structured reports and dashboards, and deep-dive analyses Strong project management skills needed to organize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously Extensive knowledge of policies and practices involved in the human resources function Ability to direct staff and business functions in an engaging environment maintaining workforce production and development Advanced leadership skills to resolve critical issues and make strategic decisions to contribute to the organizational goals and objectives Effective operational and cost management skills Ability to utilize and administer the disciplinary action process through coaching and counseling to improve performance or terminate employment Ability to work on various assignments simultaneously Strong interpersonal skills within all levels of the organization Ability to navigate within automated systems and proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent required.
