Job description
Trelleborg Healthcare and Medical is seeking an Engineering Technician to join the team. The Engineering Technician position will partner with Manufacturing Engineers and Process Engineers in developing, trouble shooting, standardizing, and improving existing production methods and procedures for new product release and legacy product. Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP) and principles to help develop robust manufacturing processes on new product.

Education and Experience
Required:
• 2-year degree or related equivalent education/experience
Desired:
• 2 years of manufacturing experience
Job Responsibilities:
• Assists Engineers with all tasks relating to developing processes to manufacture parts and assemblies
• Reads blueprints to understand specifications
• Helps to develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Visual Aids, Videos, and Product Specific Operating Procedures (PSOP)
• Partners with Engineering and Operations teams to implement corrective and preventive actions on process related issues
• Assists in training manufacturing personnel on new products and processes
• Supports new product launches to internal manufacturing customers
• Uses standard Problem-Solving tools, 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.
• Identifies visual criteria for new products and escalates any concerns with customer specifications to NPD Engineering staff
• Supports Lean Manufacturing in new process layouts and existing processes.
• Facilitates effective inter-departmental communication and escalation of issues
