This semiconductor manufacturing organization supports advanced fabrication and production operations in a high-volume environment. The team is focused on maintaining critical manufacturing equipment that supports production output, equipment reliability, and continuous process improvement initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to work with complex manufacturing systems while contributing directly to operational success and equipment performance.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Engineering Technician to support semiconductor manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This individual will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and improving manufacturing equipment used throughout fabrication and final process areas. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, hands-on equipment maintenance experience, and the ability to work independently while supporting production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform equipment setup, calibration, preventative maintenance, and routine servicing activities.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and equipment performance issues.
  • Dismantle, repair, adjust, rebuild, and reassemble manufacturing equipment utilizing schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, and maintenance documentation.
  • Execute equipment repairs and rebuilds to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Support engineering-directed equipment modifications, upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Analyze equipment failures and contribute to root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Utilize hand tools, diagnostic instruments, and electronic test equipment to perform maintenance activities.
  • Follow established maintenance procedures, operational standards, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
  • Work independently on complex assignments requiring sound technical judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Participate in emergency response activities and support critical equipment recovery efforts when needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, semiconductor, or industrial equipment environment.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Experience maintaining, servicing, and supporting complex production equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Hands-on experience utilizing test equipment, diagnostic tools, and standard maintenance equipment.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs, equipment reliability practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift, move, and install equipment components, pumps, motors, and related hardware.

Education Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or related technical discipline; OR
  • High School Diploma/GED with equivalent technical and industry experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to pass a respiratory protection medical surveillance examination.
  • Ability to work safely in a semiconductor manufacturing and production environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Ability to provide documentation supporting education, technical training, and applicable work experience prior to start date.
