Job description

STM is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer to be a part of our team. The Maintenance Mechanic must possess the desire and ability to maintain and repair all plant equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic’s role is to ensure successful maintenance and repair of plant machinery and supporting special projects within the plant.

Our company is a worldwide manufacturer of high-performance adhesive products used in a multitude of applications and markets. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for our Southeast, WI, manufacturing facility. The primary function of this position is to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot our complex coating and converting machines, equipment, and other high-speed manufacturing equipment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience in trouble shooting and repair of production equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical motors and controls
  • Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to interpret P&ID, mechanical, and electrical drawings
  • Understanding and experience of preventive maintenance
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and maintain equipment and records
  • Understanding and working knowledge of CMMS systems and work orders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong team player
  • A working knowledge of word processing and e-mail applications
  • Must be available to work any shift including nights and weekends
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull 50 lbs

Education, Experience and Certifications

  • 3 - 5 years of manufacturing maintenance or related experience
  • Formal education in a related field preferred
