Summary:
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, and electrical systems in the hotel and restaurant. This role ensures the proper functioning of all systems, maintains a safe environment, and helps achieve budget goals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and physical structures, including electrical systems and plumbing.
  • Conduct HVAC maintenance and repairs.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on Life Safety Systems and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain and repair hotel aesthetics (painting, furniture maintenance, etc.).
  • Maintain a Preventative Maintenance Program, ensuring quarterly inspections and proper documentation.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot machinery, listening for unusual sounds to diagnose issues.
  • Perform welding, installation of pipe systems, and repairs of hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from housekeeping and guest requests.
  • Perform regular checks of emergency lighting, smoke detectors, and other safety equipment.
  • Maintain a daily maintenance log and ensure all work is documented.
