Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end operational planning for a diverse portfolio, including Laboratory Developed Tests (LDTs), digital product rollouts, and the integration of GenAI into core workflows

  • Identify and resolve execution risks and bottlenecks; partner cross-functionally to re-engineer processes for scalability

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Applied AI teams to define and implement features-with a specific focus on evaluating GenAI opportunities to automate administrative burdens and streamline handoffs

  • Own high-impact projects directly while overseeing dedicated team members and workstream leads; step in to provide deep-dive analysis and problem-solving whenever necessary

  • Define, track, and report on success metrics (KPIs/OKRs), ensuring all initiatives align with broader business objectives

  • Establish and maintain rigorous documentation standards to ensure operational consistency and regulatory alignment

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of operating experience with a proven track record of exceeding KPIs in high-growth, complex environments

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • Proven ability to evaluate Generative AI use cases within operational workflows, ensuring rigorous validation and alignment with clinical/data integrity standards

  • Expert at distilling complex, technical issues into concrete, actionable plans for diverse stakeholder groups

  • Ability to analyze complex data, create clear visualizations, and present insights effectively to stakeholders

  • A proactive mindset that thrives in rapidly evolving environments and can move internal and external partners toward quick, effective resolutions

  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and clinical regulatory requirements (e.g., CLIA/CAP) is strongly preferred

CHI: $135,000-190,000

The expected salary range above is applicable if the role is performed from Illinois and may vary for other locations (California, Colorado, New York). Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience. Tempus offers a full range of benefits, which may include incentive compensation, restricted stock units, medical and other benefits depending on the position.
