Position Summary
PROENERGY is seeking a Director of Operations amp; Maintenance to drive the global growth of its O amp;M business through the commercialization of Advanced Monitoring amp; Predictive Solutions (AMPS) and the scaling of its Remote Operating Center (ROC). This role serves as the primary commercial and technical leader responsible for building a qualified pipeline of O amp;M clients, converting opportunities into contracted revenue, and ensuring PROENERGY's O amp;M product suite remains competitive. The Director will collaborate with sales, commercial, and product teams to develop and execute business development strategies targeting Private Equity firms, Utilities, Independent Power Producers (IPPs), Data Center developers, and asset managers. The role requires a blend of technical acumen and commercial expertise, including the ability to manage secure data integration projects that enable AMPS deployment. The successful candidate will also partner with each O amp;M product lead to identify market gaps, drive product improvements, and ensure offerings deliver measurable client value.

Position Responsibilities
  • Create a business development plan in conjunction with the Sales Director
  • Interact with account managers to grow the O amp;M product portfolio with existing and new clients
  • Work closely with the equipment sales team to ensure O amp;M capabilities are conveyed to these clients.
  • Build relationships with IPP and equity funds to ensure PES is considered for O amp;M opportunities
  • Develop a pathway to gaining access to power plants and new construction activities
  • In conjunction with the account managers, conduct initial and follow-up meetings to discuss O amp;M products.
  • Work with the clients to understand their specific needs related to Monitoring amp; Diagnostics (M amp;D)
  • Create a transformational customer experience by understanding clients’ needs and expectations
  • Work with the commercial team on proposal development and contract reviews
  • Working alongside the AMPS team, act as a bridge between controls and IT to ensure secure data connections are constructed timely and quality data is delivered to AMPS.
  • Provide feedback to the AMPS team on product improvements to better serve our clients
  • Provide training to the sales team on all O amp;M products
  • Support the sales team in delivering the value proposition on all O amp;M products to new and existing clients
  • Serve as a technical advisor supporting the Director O amp;M and ROC Superintendent to develop and execute a ROC expansion that complies with NERC CIP requirements.
  • Provide technical support in onboarding new ROC clients into System Platform
  • Review and provide input into project plans and ROI on plant level projects
  • Support O amp;M transition and mobilization activities
  • Attend conferences and tradeshows as a representative of O amp;M
  • Serve as a project manager on large O amp;M improvement projects
  • Assist the VP O amp;M in creating a scalable O amp;M organization
Required Qualifications
  • BS degree in Engineering or related field
  • Three to Five (3-5) years of power plant experience
  • Experience in a sales or business development role
  • Strong understanding of control systems and control logic
  • Knowledge of software configurations
  • Experience a historian platform such as Aveva PI
  • Valid US passport and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Quantitative thinker with a technical background in plant equipment operations and maintenance
  • Proven track record in delivering internal improvement projects in a growing organization
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required. This will be demonstrated across large and small groups of peers or superiors.
  • Highly organized multitasker and able to prioritize deadlines in work-intensive environments.
  • Ability to stay focus and calm in the face of distractions and changing priorities, and will have the ability to influence others to do the same.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and implement improved processes and practices across the O amp;M product portfolio to ensure consistent across contracts.
  • Must be fluent in English, with strong speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check
Working Conditions:
  • Travel will be domestic and international approx. 50% of the time.
  • Office environment at the McHard Road or the Eldridge office location.
  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours as necessary, especially during critical issue resolution, and to achieve project milestones.
