Job description

Position Summary

The Warehouse Manager will oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, dispensing, material issuance, and shipment. This role requires strong leadership, deep understanding of pharmaceutical warehouse systems, and the ability to drive efficiency while ensuring full regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, dispensing, labeling, and shipping.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, GDP, FDA, and company SOPs in all warehouse activities.
  • Manage raw material, packaging material, and finished goods inventory levels to support production schedules.
  • Implement and maintain accurate inventory control systems (cycle counts, stock reconciliation, FEFO/ FIFO practices).
  • Coordinate with Production, QC, QA, Procurement, and Supply Chain departments for timely material flow.
  • Ensure proper documentation, including receiving logs, COAs, material issue slips, and batch record support.
  • Train, lead, and supervise warehouse staff; ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols.
  • Optimize warehouse layout, workflows, and storage systems to improve efficiency and space utilization.
  • Oversee cold storage, controlled substances storage (if applicable), and hazardous material handling.
  • Develop and enforce SOPs, warehouse KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage logistics coordination with carriers, vendors, and internal teams for inbound/outbound shipments.
  • Conduct investigations for discrepancies, deviations, or non-conformances related to warehouse operations.
  • Support audits (internal and external) by providing documentation and warehouse-related data.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5–8 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in pharmaceutical or FDA-regulated industries.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, GDP, and inventory management systems.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and work in warehouse conditions.
