Job description

Warehouse Facility Manager

Location: North Brunswick, NJ (On-Site)

Salary: $80,000 - $95,000

Focus Camera is a family-owned ecommerce and retail company, over 50 years in business, selling across Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Shopify, B2B, and more. We are hiring a Warehouse Facility Manager to own the condition and uptime of our North Brunswick, NJ fulfillment warehouse, plus a neighboring company-owned building with rental tenants and truck parking. The warehouse comes first: when a dock door, conveyor belt, or forklift goes down, orders stop moving, and getting it back up is your priority.

The Role

This is a working manager role. You own vendor management, quotes and rate negotiation, invoice approval, the facility budget, the work-order system, the compliance calendar, and preventive maintenance, and you supervise a team of three: one Maintenance Technician and two cleaners. You are also a capable tradesperson who gets hands-on when the work calls for it. And the buildings are yours around the clock: your number is the emergency contact on file for after-hours issues. Rare, but when it happens, you own it.

You Will

  • Own warehouse equipment uptime: dock doors, dock levelers, conveyor belts, forklifts, and racking
  • Manage all facility vendors (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/sprinkler, roofing, snow, security, and more): quotes, negotiation, scheduling, and accountability
  • Own the facility budget, approve invoices, and run the work-order system
  • Keep the compliance calendar current: inspections, certifications, permits, with nothing lapsing
  • Own warehouse safety, including forklift training and certification and overall safety compliance
  • Build and run the preventive maintenance schedule for both buildings
  • Own warehouse cleanliness: manage two cleaners and keep the building consistently clean and organized
  • Resolve tenant-reported physical issues as routed by our finance team
  • Supervise your team of three and jump into repairs when needed

You Are

  • 3+ years of facility management experience in a warehouse, distribution, or industrial environment
  • Organized with relentless follow-through; vendors do not slip past you
  • Experienced owning budgets and approving invoices
  • Hands-on capable across general trades and warehouse equipment (dock doors, conveyors, levelers)
  • Willing to be the after-hours emergency contact (infrequent, but non-negotiable)

If you are a great repair person but not organized, this is not the right role for you. We offer health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, employee discounts, and full ownership of the facility function at a stable, family-owned company.

Benefits:

  • 401(k)
  • Dental insurance
  • Employee discount
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Retirement plan
  • Vision insurance

Application Question(s):

  • How many years of experience do you have managing facilities in a warehouse, distribution center, or industrial environment?
  • Have you been responsible for managing warehouse equipment such as dock doors, dock levelers, conveyor systems, forklifts, or warehouse racking?
  • This position requires serving as the after-hours emergency contact for the facility and responding to urgent building issues when necessary. Are you willing and able to meet this requirement?
  • This is a fully on-site position located in North Brunswick, NJ. Are you able to reliably commute to this location Monday through Friday?

Work Location: In person
