Responsibilities

The Referral Coordinator (RC) is responsible for working collaboratively with Northside Hospital Leadership to administer and coordinate all the processing and coordination of patient referrals and is an avid participant of the patient care team. The RC is responsible for referral operations at assigned clinics, establishing and standardizing systems and procedures for the distribution and use of health information throughout the organization, coordinating and referral functions with all other departments. The RC will be in charge of all aspects of Worker's compensation referrals including, scheduling, extending referrals, being the liaison with adjusters and getting additional office visits approved for patients.  

Qualifications
  • High School Degree or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in business, nursing, or healthcare related field; OR
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and a minimum of 1 year of leadership experience in business, nursing or health care related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, coordinate diversified and multiple activities, and make appropriate clinical and managerial decisions.
  • Possess advanced problem solving and team building skills.
  • Possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • PREFERRED:

  • Knowledge of JCAHO standards of care.
  • Knowledge of presentation preparation, such as PowerPoint.
