Job Description

The Senior Manager for Food & Beverage Finance group will be responsible for leading the Food Finance team through all finance deliverables including the following: daily/weekly financial reporting, month-end close, account reconciliations, Budget/LRP/LE cycles, and ad hoc analysis. The role also requires driving operating performance and aligning decision making with the business' key performance indicators.  Requires working closely with operators in a cross functional, matrixed, and fast paced environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting, Modelling, and Analysis
    Lead accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis including weekly/monthly financial reporting packages addressing budget variances, cash position, and status of current projects.  Manage annual operating plan, quarterly estimates, and month-end close accounting. Develop and maintain financial models for revenue and labor forecasting.
  • Drive Department Performance
    Establish and maintain detailed budgets. Partner with operator management and Finance team to maximize operational efficiencies by strengthening and implementing financial tools, metrics, and processes to drive performance.  Provide financial coaching to all operating partners.
  • Maximize Operational Efficiencies
    Ensure a "no surprises" environment.  Leverage relationships with operating partners to optimize efficiencies and influence behavior.
  • Food Management Incentive Plan management
    Lead the financial analysis to support the annual Food Management Incentive Plan calculation including updating the official document and partnering with HR/Operators to collect accurate assumptions. Partner with Senior Management to discuss results and incorporate discretionary changes, if necessary.
  • Special Projects
    Lead/assist with special projects - both analytical and process improvements (i.e.: improved management reports, operational processes, etc.).  Extend findings to provide meaningful recommendations.
  • Interact with Senior Management on a regular basis to deliver financial updates.
  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business/accounting/finance and/or MBA
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in finance, preferably within operations finance
  • Must be a resourceful problem solver, with the ability to prioritize and create approaches to meet required objectives
  • Excellent analytical abilities are required, including advanced Excel and Powerpoint
  • Demonstrate leadership values and ability to develop and participate in diverse/cross-functional teams
  • Requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and influence a wide spectrum of customers
  • Ability to maintain a big picture perspective as well as be detail-oriented is essential
  • Must be willing to work in Universal City
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP, BPC, and/or Microstrategy
  • Prior Food/QSR experience
