Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
The Graduate Assistant for the Office of International Admission and Recruitment will report to the Director of International Admission and Recruitment. This position will assist in various day to day functions, including responding to email inquiries, data entry, application file review, follow up from new inquiries, and student advising while the Director is away on recruitment events.
Responsibilities
Responsible for modeling the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration, and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian Higher education.
-Assist with maintaining the Undergraduate and Graduate database of International applications
-Communicate with applicants regarding the completion of the application and visa process
-Work independently, while collaborating with the Freshmen, Transfer, and Graduate admission teams, to ensure timely and accurate student service during recruitment events.
-Assist with front office communications and coverage as well as daily operations
-Respond to email and phone inquiries as needed
-Assist with student recruitment, communications and social media
-Collaborate with International Student Services to plan, develop, and implement relevant orientation content and social/cultural programs for incoming students as needed.
-Utilize technology and databases to ensure accurate record keeping.
-Other job-related duties for the Office of International Affairs as assigned by the Director of International Enrollment and Director of International Student and Global Scholar Services
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. Must be enrolled in and maintain satisfactory progress in one of the University's graduate programs. Specific job skills required include computer literacy, including word processing, database and spreadsheet utilization, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must have at least one year left in graduate studies.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in higher education and data analytics preferred.
