Process Specialist

Position Overview
The Process Specialist supports the Process Manager by developing, maintaining, and improving clear, accurate, and consistent business process documentation. This role focuses on capturing operational workflows and translating them into user-friendly process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, training materials, and internal policy documents. The position plays a key role in ensuring documentation is accessible, well-governed, and aligned with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and updating process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and process maps, under the guidance of the Process Manager
  • Format, edit, and organize documentation using established templates and standards
  • Capture process details through interviews, notes, and walkthroughs led by the Process Manager or senior team members
  • Write and organize content about processes, procedures, and systems without requiring prior hands-on experience in the subject area
  • Update documentation based on feedback and approved change requests
  • Maintain version control and file organization within designated repositories
  • Perform routine reviews to ensure documents are current, complete, and clearly written
  • Support the publishing of documentation to internal portals, intranets, or knowledge bases
  • Help prepare documentation to support onboarding and training materials
  • Track documentation updates and maintain logs or status reports
  • Follow documentation standards, style guides, and compliance requirements

Qualifications

  • Experience in process documentation, business analysis, operations, or a related role
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information
  • Experience working with SOPs, process maps, and structured documentation
  • Familiarity with document management, version control, and governance practices
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
