Job description
Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. What does that mean? TheDirector ofBusiness Development willidentifyand pursue initiatives that drive incremental growthwithintheassigneddivision.This will includeleadingthe division's acquisition efforts includingidentifyingtargets and cultivating strategic relationships as well as assessing organic growth opportunities in market spaces beyond today's presence.
What You Will Do at Graco
Lead the M&A process for the division, with heavy emphasis on prospecting anddiligence.
Work with the division's management team and chair the division steering committee to review potential opportunities, recommend market entry strategies, and set priorities for the division.
Developmarket entry strategies for the division and identify newbusiness or verticalgrowth areas for the division.
Identifyandmaintaina pipeline ofviableacquisitioncandidates for the division and conduct complex quantitative, primary market research on areas of interest.
Build the case and present the recommendations to executive management on organic opportunities requiring incremental investment.
Cultivate relationships with select potential acquisition candidates.
As assigned, lead the post-acquisitionintegration ofacquiredcompanies.
Develop, communicate, and drive alignment of thedivision'slong-term strategic vision in partnership with theleadershipteam.
Participate inthe annual strategic planning process with a framework for divisions, including the identification of key strategic initiatives at corporate level, the development of actionableplansand KPIs to measure progress.
What You Will Bring to Graco
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing,Engineeringora relatedfield. Master's degreepreferred.
10+ years of experience insalesmarketing,engineeringand/or business development.
Demonstrated understanding of business operations, marketing principles and management skills and techniques.
Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, both internally and externally.
Strong evidenceof leadership and management skills.
Ability to manage and influence a cross-function team with few direct reports and whose members haveadditionalresponsibilities outside of the team.
Superior project management and organizational skills combined with the ability to manage multidimensional strategic projects at one time.
Excellent analytical,organizationaland presentation skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact and influence employees of all levels and from various business groups.
Must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced,dynamicand deadline-driven environment.
Ability to travelapproximately50% of the time, domestic and international.

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
