Garver is seeking an experienced Transportation Project Manager to join our growing team in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. We are looking for high achievers looking to grow and develop their career with us through our technical and professional development programs and diverse career opportunities.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage successful completion of projects.
  • Direct and coordinate work for individuals or multidiscipline teams.
  • Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently.
  • Establish and maintain client relations with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), NTTA and similar clients, and be involved with marketing and contractual negotiations.
  • Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures.
  • Supervise project staff and act as mentor for less-experienced engineers and Project Managers.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Minimum of Ten (10) years of relevant Roadway experience (TxDOT preferred).
  • Practical working knowledge of the TxDOT Roadway Design Manual and the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (TMUTCD) as well as other TxDOT Design manuals and processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of MicroStation (Geopak, OpenRoads, OpenRoads Designer).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office
Preferred Requirements:
  • Previous roadway design experience in consulting engineering with a primary focus on TxDOT (or other DOT) or Municipal transportation projects.
  • TxDOT Pre-Certs.
  • TxDOT Dallas and/or FTW contacts.
  • 3D Design experience.
