General Summary
The Dietetics Program at Eastern Michigan University is seeking a motivated Graduate Assistant (GA) who will support recruitment and outreach initiatives, develop marketing materials, serve as a point of contact between faculty, staff, and prospective students, and conduct research. This role offers hands-on experience in program management and creativity while assisting faculty and engaging with prospective students.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Tasks may include (but at not limited to):
  • Assisting with Dietetics program application processing and documentation (November through February).
  • Assist in creation of online DTC and HN 3x/year newsletter (using Adobe Express).
  • Assist Clinical Coordinator with SPE-related tasks.
  • Collection and analysis of program data.
  • Assistance in compiling documents needed for accreditation.
  • Reviewing/updating program documents such as the Preceptor Handbook, Orientation materials, Student Handbook, and training modules for students.
  • Increasing our use of technology (e.g., converting program documents to electronic storage).
  • Conducting literature searches.
  • Data entry and analysis.
  • Assistance in conducting research.
  • Assisting with the preparation of professional presentation materials.
  • Proctoring exams.
Minimum Qualifications:
Part-time position (10 hours per week) (150 hours per semester max).
