We have partnered with a manufacturing company in Mahwah, NJ to provide them with a Engineering Technician. Please review the below description and let us know if you are interested.
Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Engineering Technician:
#1. Technical School Degree or Associates required, Bachelors degree in Engineering a plus
#2. Ability to use basic power tools
#3. Ability to do basic prototyping
#4. Prior experience with building and disassembling small products
#5. CAD not required, but prior experience is a plus
Responsibilities of the Engineering Technician:
The Engineering Technician will aid the Product Development team by working with physical products in the testing lab. Daily tasks include disassembling products and running test procedures and assisting the engineering team with fabrication. The ideal candidate is organized with multiple projects, thorough in detail-oriented tasks, and possesses a friendly personality.
Role & Responsibilities
- Work with Engineering team to help with fabrication and test setups.
- Disassembling competitors products for technical evaluation
- Work with Systems programmers to develop new product systems parameters and evaluation of system functionalities.
- Evaluating client products with test procedures after disassembly
Requirements of the Engineering Technician:
- Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and report
- Recording tests and analyses and then reporting the results
- Discussing and answering any questions regarding the results
- Organizing and storing samples
- Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment
- Staying current on technical and scientific advances in their field
- Technical School Degree or Associates required, Bachelors degree in Engineering a plus
- Ability to use basic power tools
- Ability to do basic prototyping
- Prior experience with building and disassembling small products
- CAD not required, but prior experience is a plus
- Microsoft Office proficient
Other Key Requirements for the Engineering Technician:
- Onsite role.
- No sponsorships or visa holders. No Corp-to-Corp.
