Restaurant Supervisor

We're searching for a high-energy, service-driven person with excellent communication skills to supervise our restaurant, room service, and bar operation. You will be responsible for all aspects of the operation including but not limited to training and disciplining team members. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our high service standards are met. Strong communication and team-building skills are a must.

$18.50 - $19.50 hourly

• Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing Dare to Connect service behaviors to exceed guests’ expectations
• Communicates and demonstrates Dare to Connect service behaviors to other employees
• Communicates and demonstrates the LEAD model of service recovery behaviors to other employees (Listen, Empathize, Apologize Sincerely, Deliver a Solution)
• Supervises the operation of the hotel restaurant and lounge
• Possesses a valid liquor card at all times
• Coordinates the setup of restaurant and lounge areas in accordance with company standards
• Confirms daily specials and new menu additions with the Executive Chef
• Oversees the food and beverage service provided in assigned outlets; coaches employees on effective service and food presentation techniques
• Inspects restaurant and lounge areas on an ongoing basis and takes appropriate steps to ensure facilities meet or exceed hotel standards at all times
• Conducts daily pre-shift meetings to discuss specials, house count, reservations, and new menu items
• Adheres to legal and/or company policies and standards
• Understand and follow the laws and guidelines for beverage service
• Handles cash, checks, and/or credit cards in accordance with company policies
• Ability to perform considerable amounts of physical activity on a continual basis

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• ABC Card: This position requires one to possess and maintain a valid ABC card at all times
• Stand-up and/or one-on-one training: Skilled in the use of techniques and strategies required to deliver training material in group and one-on-one settings
• Performance management, supervisory: Demonstrate ability to relate to, communicate with, and motivate employees to sustain high performance and quality levels
• Organization: Demonstrate ability to proactively prioritize needs, put first things first, and effectively manage resources and time
• Technical service skills: Demonstrate understanding of the technical service skills for assigned area (ie. food & beverage service, housekeeping, etc.)
• Point of sale: Skilled in the utilization of point-of-sale systems and/or other back-of-the-house systems
• Upselling: Know the available products and services and suggest alternatives
