Oversee the Restaurant and Banquets under the direction of the Banquet Manager, based on requirements and standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervision of staff.
- Verbally communicate, in a calm, positive demeanor, during the course of the function with the kitchen, service, beverage, convention services, and engineering staff, as well as the guest host to ensure timely execution of events, quality service, and adherence to all applicable federal, state, local safety and health regulations and corporate standards.
- Supervise room setups and function flow.
- Communicate all timing of food functions with kitchen and stewarding staff.
- Post banquet checks at end of day and turn in to Night Audit.
- Train and counsel new service employees and established employees.
- Administer disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Will assist with scheduling the Banquets Team.
- Inspect Banquet rooms to ensure proper setup and cleanliness.
- Communicate any urgent repairs to the Engineering department.
- Ensure organization and cleanliness of all function rooms and storage spaces.
- Flexible schedule (days, nights, weekends).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; 2 years' experience in the event management, food and beverage, or related professional area.

- Meeting deadlines, handling pressure, following up on details.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Restaurant and/or Banquets experience.
- Fluency in English.
- Spanish helpful
- Union experiences helpful
