Transportation Supervisor
Location: On site in Fort Pierce, FL
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM

A growing food and beverage operation is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to lead second shift outbound logistics for a high-volume production environment. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a high-energy environment, collaborates effectively across departments, and values driving measurable improvements in operational performance, customer experience, and overall service delivery. This person helps drive efficient distribution operations by organizing transportation logistics, aligning driver and equipment availability, and ensuring outbound shipments are executed accurately and within schedule during later-day operations.
What You Will Do
  • Lead second shift transportation activity for outbound deliveries, dispatch coordination, and fleet support.
  • Update transportation schedules and shift delivery focus in response to changing production demands, customer requirements, and loading dock activity throughout the day.
  • Partner closely with warehouse, production, shipping, and customer support teams to ensure loads are ready and departures stay on track.
  • Maintain clear communication with drivers regarding schedules, changes, delays, and service issues.
  • Help maintain an organized yard environment by ensuring trailers and equipment are properly positioned, accessible, and ready for use to support efficient operations and minimize delays.
  • Address transportation challenges in real time, including late departures, service interruptions, equipment concerns, and other operational exceptions.
  • Provide shift level reporting and updates to leadership to support visibility and informed decision making.
  • Promote compliance with transportation standards, workplace safety expectations, and internal operating procedures.

What You Bring
  • At least 2 years of experience in transportation, dispatch, logistics, distribution, warehouse shipping, or fleet operations.
  • Strong communication skills and sound judgment in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and keep priorities moving during an active shift.
  • Comfort working on site Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
  • Experience with transportation, warehouse, or enterprise systems is helpful.
  • Familiarity with DOT compliance standards, refrigerated transportation operations, or regulated food distribution settings is beneficial.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish is helpful.
