Responsibilities:
The Project Manager will support Barrow Wise's Chicago Board of Education project and perform the following duties:
  • Assess, plan, and manage the implementation of large, complex enterprise applications and programs in support of CPS Vision
  • Assemble and lead project teams, ensuring the team is appropriately assigned tasks and allocated deadlines and ensuring communication throughout the group
  • Promote visibility into the CPS portfolio, partnering with ITS and Business Leaders to ensure the portfolio of projects aligns with departmental goals and the CPS Vision
  • Identify potential risks and develops strategies to mitigate or minimize them
  • Guarantee that the team stays within the defined budget by estimating costs and tracking expenses
  • Demonstrate knowledge of business analysis, organizational change management, and technical Architecture

An ideal candidate has the following:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering Project Management, or related field
  • Preferred Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Seven (7) to fifteen (15) years of project/program management experience
