Job Title: Inserting Operator
Location: Getzville, NY 14068
Duration: 3 months of contract with possible extension and/or convert to FTE
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr on W2
Shift Timings: Monday-Friday, 6:30am – 2:30pm
Needed: Manufacturing or retail experience. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, and stand for long periods of time, this is not a desk job.
Job Description:
Position Purpose:
Operate and maintain an inserter to produce mail pieces and prepare mailing for the Post Office. Inspect pieces during production and make adjustments to keep machines running.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ year experience working in a mail production facility operating a mechanical inserter and troubleshooting machine issues. Manufacturing or retail experience.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, and stand for long periods of time, this is not a desk job.
Experience with USPS postal regulations strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Inserting the output into envelopes using mail production equipment, focusing on quality that is line with HIPAA standards.
Produce mail-pieces using automated inserting technology.
Operate folding machines, cutter and bindery equipment.
Operate machines that insert printed matter, such as letters or booklets into envelopes.
Maintain equipment using provided maintenance schedule.
Maintain optimal level of productivity.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for a long period of time.
