Administrative Coordinator For The Academy Department
Hartgrove Behavioral Health System consists of a 160-bed leading psychiatric hospital dedicated to providing quality behavioral health services for a diverse population of all ages. Hartgrove is a flagship behavioral health facility within Universal Health Services, Inc. and throughout Illinois. Hartgrove is a state-of-the-art facility offering some of the most advanced technologies and programs found in the behavioral health field. We are dedicated to our teamwork approach and provide a highly compassionate and therapeutic environment, as well as offering a continuum of specialty programs throughout our inpatient, partial and outpatient services.
Position Summary: The Administrative Coordinator for the Academy Department assists the Group Director of Educational Services and Clinical Educators in successfully operating the day-to-day functioning of the Academy Department. The coordinator processes all paperwork concerned with patient enrollment and discharge, in addition to managing all charges for school services. This individual assists in tracking attendance for patient files and processes billing, completing monthly billing statistic reports. This individual assists with obtaining and documenting consent/releases of information from parents/guardians (at times including communication with Dept. of Child Family Services) to communicate with schools. The coordinator communicates with school districts (teachers, counselors, etc.), parents, and internal hospital staff regarding patient students.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Typing experience is required. Experience with office systems and equipment is required. Word processing and computer skills are required. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

Qualifications
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Education: High School or equivalent required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years admin/education experience required.
- Licensure/Certification: Individuals with a valid substitute teacher license preferred.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of educational setting and instructional issues or willingness to learn. Must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Typing ability of 45+ wpm. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, File Maker Pro and School Platforms.
