About This Role

The Senior Clinical Trial Transparency Specialist leads clinical trial transparency activities for assigned studies, helping ensure that trial registration and results information are disclosed accurately, on time, and in accordance with global requirements. You will serve as a key partner to study teams, internal stakeholders, and external vendors-coordinating planning, execution, quality oversight, and issue resolution across the disclosure lifecycle. This role contributes directly to Biogen's commitment to meaningful, patient-centered communication of clinical research information. You will also help strengthen the efficiency, quality, and consistency of Clinical Trial Transparency processes, technology, training, and vendor operations. This position reports to the Head, Clinical Trial Transparency Operations and works closely with Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Writing, Data Management, and external service providers.

What You'll Do

  • Lead disclosure planning and delivery for assigned clinical studies

  • Coordinate protocol registration, record maintenance, and results disclosure activities

  • Serve as the primary Clinical Trial Transparency contact for assigned study teams

  • Partner with vendors to deliver accurate, timely, high-quality registry disclosures

  • Monitor vendor workload, performance metrics, cycle times, and issue logs

  • Escalate disclosure risks, dependencies, and quality concerns as appropriate

  • Support planning, coordination, and quality review of plain language summaries

  • Improve Clinical Trial Transparency processes, work instructions, SOPs, and training

  • Provide user feedback and support testing for Clinical Trial Transparency technology solutions

  • Represent the function on cross-functional initiatives and continuous-improvement projects

Who You Are

You are a detail-oriented clinical research professional who is passionate about transparency, compliance, and making clinical trial information understandable and accessible to the public. You balance strong operational execution with a continuous-improvement mindset and enjoy collaborating across study teams, vendors, and internal functions. You are comfortable managing competing priorities, navigating complex global requirements, and translating them into clear, practical action.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a science related field

  • 4+ years of relevant pharmaceutical-industry experience or equivalent

  • 2+ years experience of global clinical trial transparency knowledge and disclosure requirements

  • Experience with clinical trial registration and results disclosure activities

  • Understanding of clinical study and program communication-planning dependencies

  • Process mapping and continuous improvement experience

  • Vendor-management experience in an outsourced operating model

  • Ability to monitor deliverables, quality, timelines, metrics, and issues

  • Familiarity with Clinical Trial Transparency technology, systems, and tools

  • Knowledge of plain language summaries and patient-centered trial communication

  • Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder-management skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting or leading SOP, work-instruction, or training updates

  • Familiarity with data sharing, patient engagement, health equity, or digital engagement

Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is: $116,000.00-$155,000.00


Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
