Job description

Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering novel therapeutics for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), a serious liver disease that can progress to cirrhosis, liver failure, need for liver transplantation and premature mortality. Madrigal's medication, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), is a once-daily, oral, liver-directed THR-β agonist designed to target key underlying causes of MASH. Rezdiffra is the first and only medication approved by both the FDA and European Commission for the treatment of MASH with moderate to advanced fibrosis (F2 to F3). An ongoing Phase 3 outcomes trial is evaluating Rezdiffra for the treatment of compensated MASH cirrhosis (F4c).

AD Transparency Reporting and Monitoring
The Associate Director, Transparency Reporting and Monitoring, will be responsible for driving and optimizing the strategic direction and governance of the Transparency program globally and support the Global Monitoring program. This role will serve as Madrigal's subject matter expert for Transparency Reporting and will be accountable for global report execution, building and leading strategic initiatives to streamline and effectively meet the unique business needs and scale of the organization. Additionally, this role will support efforts to ensure the company's activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. This is typically accomplished through proactive monitoring, risk assessments, and collaboration with business units to implement and improve compliance processes. Exceptional communication, collaboration and problem solving are required.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of the strategy, vision, operations & governance for the Transparency Reporting program globally.
  • Accountable for timely and accurate execution of disclosures across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Responsible for ongoing assessment of Madrigal's geographic footprint to ensure program strategy and reporting methodology are compliant, fit for purpose and scale globally. Develops strong spend transparency compliance controls in order to meet global reporting requirements.
  • Leadership and oversight of master service provider and spend transparency technology.
  • Responsible for policy development, compliance & governance of Global Transparency Reporting policy.
  • Ownership of transparency dashboards, leveraging data trends & insights to drive compliance to policy and inform decision making and strategy.
  • Proactively anticipates and addresses business needs, takes leadership role in assessing processes, tools, and policies to strengthen the programs and enhance efficiencies.
  • Impactfully influences stakeholders to drive transformation and business partnership. Proactively anticipates and addresses business needs beyond one's direct scope, spearheading cross functional alignment and collaboration with Legal, Data Privacy, Compliance, Commercial, Medical, Global Travel & Expense and Global Meeting & Events.
  • Leads Global Transparency Reporting team members, ensuring operational excellence through strategic prioritization of tasks, resource allocation, master service provider support and creation of metrics and dashboards to assess data, forecast, and identify trends.
  • Provides leadership, coaching and guidance to ensure functional and corporate goals are achieved.
  • Builds and maintains strong partnerships with Senior Leadership.
  • Supports assessments and self-testing activities, such as reviewing sponsorships or payments, to monitor for compliance with policies.

  • Previous pharmaceutical experience required

Base salary is determined by several factors including the candidate's qualifications, skills, education, experience, business needs, and market demands. As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position, applicable to all candidates, is $167,000- $204,000 per year. We comply with all applicable minimum wage laws.
