Job description

The Supervisor leads lease administration and oversees the company's real property lease portfolio. This role supervises Land Analysts, ensures compliance with lease agreements, maintains accurate lease records, and supports business objectives through effective lease management, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration. The position serves as a key liaison among Land, Legal, Accounting, Operations, and external stakeholders. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Land Analyst team, establishing performance expectations, priorities, and workload distribution to support business objectives and operational excellence.
  • Oversee the administration of leases, easements/servitudes, licenses, and related agreements, including the review, interpretation, and analysis of contractual terms and obligations.
  • Review and approve lease analyses, transactions, and reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to internal controls.
  • Develop and implement lease administration processes, controls, and best practices to improve efficiency, mitigate risk, and maintain audit readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with critical lease obligations, including payments, renewals, extensions, notices, and other recurring requirements.
  • Manage lease payment administration, validating rental obligations and operating expenses while supporting budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and lease accounting compliance.
  • Provide guidance and resolution for complex lease administration issues, including audit inquiries, compliance matters, operational budgeting questions, and escalation management.
  • Support acquisitions, divestitures, and lease negotiations through due diligence, lease analysis, and financial evaluation.

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Property Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience in land, real estate, property management, acquisitions, asset management, finance, accounting, or related job functions will also be considered.
  • 7 years of experience in lease administration, real estate management, land administration, or related property management functions.
  • 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience in midstream land and a basic understanding of related land functions and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of real property leases and contract interpretation.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team-development capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Quorum On-Demand Land, GIS software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
