The Gist...

The Workforce Planning Analyst - Subject Matter Expert is responsible for developing and implementing organizational workforce planning strategies and initiatives that ensure the workforce has the right talent, skills, and capabilities to achieve current and future objectives and goals. Primary functions of this role include partnering with key stakeholders and executive leadership to analyze workforce trends, identify talent gaps, address workforce challenges, forecast future workforce needs, and design strategic workforce recommendations and solutions.

The ideal candidate is a strategic workforce planning expert with extensive experience assessing current organizational workforce capabilities and trends and translating them into workforce strategies and initiatives. This individual possesses advanced analytical capabilities, executive presence, and the ability to influence organizational change through informed recommendations and briefings supported by workforce insights and data. They are comfortable with both working with senior leaders, managing multiple initiatives, and leading a team of workforce planning analysts.

What Your Day Might Include...

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead enterprise-wide strategic workforce planning initiatives aligned with organizational objectives and goals.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of Workforce Planning Analysts.
  • Assess current workforce capabilities, demographics, and skills to identify talent gaps and succession risks.
  • Conduct workforce analytics, forecasting, and scenario planning to identify future requirements.
  • Recommend workforce optimization initiatives to prepare for the future, including reskilling, upskilling, automation, outsourcing, and organizational redesign.
  • Develop workforce strategies and initiatives that support organizational growth and operational efficiency.
  • Develop workforce planning methodologies, governance frameworks and best practices to be implemented across the organization.
  • Develop workforce dashboards, metrics, KPIs, and executive reports and briefings that support strategic and data-driven decision making.
  • Present strategic recommendations, key findings, and workforce insights to executive leadership.
  • Support Organizational change management initiatives associated with the implementation of recommended strategies and initiatives.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship Required to Obtain Public Trust
  • 10+ years of experience in: Strategic Workforce Planning, Human Capital Strategy, Workforce Analytics, Organizational Design, Process Mapping, HR Strategy, and Talent Management.
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide workforce planning initiatives, supporting executive-level strategic planning.
  • Experience conducting workforce analysis and recommendations using quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success supporting workforce and organizational change initiatives.
  • Experience designing and developing workforce data analytics, data visualization, and dashboards
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams of workforce planning analysts
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to assess policies and propose actionable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing multiple strategic initiatives and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
