Overview

We are looking for a Market Intelligence Analystย who will take the lead to produce accurate and informative reports that focus on current relevant information including micro and macroeconomic trends, public policy, market statistics, commercial developments, noteworthy news, etc.ย 

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside all service lines within Avison Young. The successful candidate must possess strong administration and task management skills, exhibit excellent organizational skills, demonstrate an eye for detail, and must thrive in a fast-pace, team environment.ย ย 

Responsibilities
  • Prepare market lease and purchase surveys for client requirements as requested by brokers.
  • Actively manage the available lease listings database and ensure that all information is complete and accurate by contacting listing brokers and landlords.
  • Assist the brokers as necessary in providing relevant information for pitches and valuation.
  • Assist the office research manager as necessary in tracking lease comparable by analyzing monthly deal sheets, exchanging information with appraisers, and monitoring various online platforms.
  • Attend bi-weekly research meetings and monthly office division meetings to provide updates on topics such as significant properties that are being marketed, notable building & land sales, construction updates on new developments and general real estate news.
Qualifications
  • BA degree in Economics, Statistics, Commercial Real Estate or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a research role within the CRE industry is preferred
  • Analytic with strong written and verbal communication skills, proofing, and editing skills with a drive for accuracy and details
  • Organized and able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Possess characteristic traits of independent thinking and self-starting initiative
  • Proficient in Microsoft office with advanced Excel skills
  • Must be proactive with a keen sense of urgency
