Workflow Automation Specialist
Location: Greenville, SC office or onsite at SRS, Aiken, SC
Work Arrangement: Hybrid schedule permitted
Pay Rate: $55.00/hour
Benefits: Standard benefits package including 80 hours PTO, 88 hours Holiday pay, 4% 401(k) match, Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage

Position Summary

This position is primarily involved in work in the computer field performing systems analysis, design, development, documentation, testing, enhancement, and modification of workflow automation systems and business applications supporting complex engineering and project environments.

The Workflow Automation Specialist will support workflow-related IT initiatives and business process improvements through the development of scalable automation solutions. This role will work closely with stakeholders, project teams, and end users to analyze requirements and build solutions that improve efficiency, streamline processes, and support business objectives.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the design, development, deployment, and ongoing support of workflow automation tools and applications using Microsoft Power Platform technologies and similar workflow solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess workflow-related business requests and gather requirements from customers and stakeholders
  • Produce accurate process documentation, requirements documentation, and workflow specifications
  • Design, develop, configure, test, deploy, and support workflow automation solutions
  • Develop and maintain enterprise workflow applications and process automation tools
  • Build and support workflow solutions while adhering to change management processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and optimize business workflows
  • Analyze business needs and translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Participate in software development activities including design, testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • Support issue identification, troubleshooting, and implementation of corrective actions
  • Maintain development standards, documentation, procedures, and user support materials
  • Participate in Agile project activities including planning, issue tracking, and sprint support
  • Remain current on emerging technologies and workflow automation best practices
  • Provide support for software deployment, upgrades, and application enhancements
  • Support multiple applications and projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards

Required Qualifications
  • Accredited four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline and five (5) years of related experience, or a combination of education and directly related experience totaling nine (9) years
  • Experience building complex workflow automation solutions using Microsoft Power Apps (Power Apps and Power Automate), Aconex, Kahua, or similar platforms
  • Experience developing both Model-driven and Canvas applications within Microsoft Power Apps
  • Experience building workflow and automation solutions using Microsoft Power Automate
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions
  • Experience with software development lifecycle processes
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of data modeling and architecture using Microsoft SQL Server or Dataverse
  • Experience with data pipeline tools such as Microsoft SSIS
  • Experience with Agile project management and issue tracking tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira
  • Full lifecycle software development experience using object-oriented programming languages
  • Experience with C# and JavaScript
  • Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project experience
  • Experience developing and deploying complex workflow solutions for large projects
