Job description

VAR Sales Representative

As a VAR Sales Representative at Axiom, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic reseller partnerships, developing new channel opportunities, and expanding business within existing accounts. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building relationships, uncovering opportunities, and delivering results in a fast-paced technology environment. The job will develop and expand channel partner relationships to promote the Axiom brand and Axiom product solutions with our reseller partners. In addition, this position will provide the highest level of sales and customer support with our clients, including end users and resellers, while working closely with our Territory Account Managers (TAM) and Distribution Account Managers (DAMs). Success in this role will be measured by revenue growth, new account development, partner engagement, pipeline generation, and achievement of quarterly and annual sales goals.

  • Austin TX or South East US (SC, NC, FL, GA, TN) depending on experience.
 
As the VAR Sales Representative for your territory, your key responsibilities will be to:
  • Meet or exceed annual sales goals for focus accounts and emerging accounts.
  • Collaborate with management to set and plan sales objectives.
  • Support and work with Territory Account Managers (TAMs) to maximize sales for focus accounts and act as a backup when they’re traveling or out of office.
  • Engage with TAM’s when balancing focus and emerging accounts to maximize sales results for Axiom.
  • Uncover and qualify new opportunities and accounts within your territory.
  • Motivate and manage reseller partners to grow revenue and expand the Axiom product portfolio.
  • Conduct outreach campaigns to introduce the Axiom brand to new and existing customers, focusing on expanding and upselling additional product lines.
  • Partner with Distribution account managers to uncover net new business opportunities.
  • Respond to sales calls from resellers and distribution and follow up on new opportunities.
  • Maintain consistent sales activity levels, including outbound prospecting, customer follow-up, CRM documentation, and partner engagement activities.
  • Participate in reseller shows, events, and training sessions and follow up with clients after each event to drive engagement.
  • Provide responsive support to customers and channel partners by managing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in training sessions to deepen product knowledge.

To be a good fit for this role, you will have:
  • Four years of industry sales or customer service experience.
  • Experience building and sustaining relationships with clients.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, including possibly regular in-office collaboration and remote work from a home office.
  • Confidence and persistence in outbound prospecting, relationship building, and business development activities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to develop well-considered proposals, business letters, emails, etc.
  • Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office (e.g., Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), experience and accountability for using a CRM and the ability to easily learn new technology.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to tackle situations that require tact and complete understanding of a given situation.
  • Offer creative solutions and provide input to issues and obstacles that arise in the reseller program and business.
  • Strong prospecting, closing and account management skills needed to grow the reseller channel and assist partners in targeting end user prospects.
  • Able to work as a team and independently while maintaining a positive and productive environment.
  • Capable of multi-tasking in a fast pace environment while maintaining accuracy and detail.
  • Some travel is required.

Compensation: $40k-$45k base plus commission for a total compensation plan starting at $70k, depending on experience.   There is no cap on commissions.
