System Director-Quality/Risk/Infection Control/Credentialing Details
Essential Job Duties:
  • Works collaboratively across the healthcare environment; builds alliances with key stakeholders; moves agendas forward using both formal and informal channels.
  • Supports a climate conducive to the safe and open questioning of process; values and embraces diversity of backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Develops realistic and achievable short-term and long-term plans to support organizational goals.
  • Investigates patient and visitor incident reports, conducting/coordinating all appropriate investigative activities, including prompt notification of all appropriate Hospital and liability carrier personnel.
  • Coordinates all potential claims involving fact finding investigation activities, acting as liaison with administration and the Hospital.
  • Assists in case preparation and strategy regarding claims made against the Hospital where litigation could be initiated.
  • Monitors work environment conditions regarding work-related hazards and exposures.
  • Monitors all applicable standards and regulations as promulgated by HFAP, State Board of Health, and other regulatory agencies and third parties.
  • Participates in Captive Insurance Risk Management requirements including, but not limited to, preparing reports to Group, preparing re-applications of Insurance; ensuring insurance coverage for all new physicians and new acquisitions; requesting Acord Certificates of Insurance, as needed; preparing auto claims, as needed.
  • Communicates effectively with diverse audiences (e.g., community, regulators, insurance companies, consumers, professionals and staff, board members) to help them understand quality concepts, including the use of quality data.
  • Performs full range of personnel administrative duties which include but are not limited to recruiting, interviewing, hiring, evaluating, disciplining, and terminating.
  • Maintains compliance with state and federal government requirements, HFAP standards and the systems policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree required
  • Five (5) years' of leadership experience required
  • Five (5) years' of experience in Quality Assurance required
