POSITION SUMMARY

The DSV Solutions Training Manager, CargoWrite Upgrade is responsible for ensuring that the training plan and supporting documentation are created in pursuit of highly successful delivery of each new business implementation.  The Contract position is specific to a project with a set time window.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the Training Functional Area owner for the WMS-upgrade projects as assigned, provide weekly status report updates to the project manager, and present status updates to the internal project team and the client.
  • Participate in Detail Quality Planning, gaining a full understanding of the business scope as it applies to the training approach to be planned.
  • Using Engineering design, develop a master Standard Operating Procedure for the full scope of the business and a full set of work instructions as they apply to all processes to be executed within the operation.
  • Collaborate with the Local team to identify training needed for the end users.
  • Develop any other training aids and process visual management required to support successful execution of the processes.
  • Develop a full training plan for each roll out of upgrade site by site.
  • Obtain the approval of tollgate stakeholders for all deliverables.
  • Classroom or Online training of Associates
  • Execute Train-the-trainer with the associates Operations designates as trainers.
  • Monitor the Operations team's execution of the training plan from project initiation through the hyper care period prior to project close.
  • Applying Change Management tools, like ADKAR, Risk assessment, RASCI, Communication planning.
  • Ensure timely updates to any completed documentation as a result of findings during testing, go live, and hyper care; ensure that Operations cascades those changes as needed through retraining.
  • Ability to travel internationally if needed, valid passport needed.

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education & Experience:

  • Four-year degree is basic requirement
  • Minimum of 5 years of job related/relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years Logistics/Supply Chain Industry experience

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Vizio
  • High Knowledge of WMS functionality, preferably with BY Dispatcher

Language Skills 

  • English (reading, writing, verbal), Spanish a plus
  • Interpersonal communication and language skills (e.g., listening to others, speaking to others, reading, writing).
  • Communication (facilitation skills and very mature communication skills to be able to communicate to all levels in the organization).

Certificates & Licenses: NA

Mathematical Skills 

  • Good mathematical skills 

Other Skills:

  • Experience dealing with end users and clients
  • Experience in 3PL environment, specifically Warehouse/DC operations
  • Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate.
  • Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.
  • Preferred experience - warehouse automation applications
