Reporting to the Head of NAM Learning & Development, the Sales Training Manager is a strategic leader responsible for building, developing, and leading a high-performing commercial training team that accelerates sales capability across North America. This role serves as a working manager, balancing hands-on training delivery, field coaching, and talent development with responsibility for shaping and executing the organization's sales training strategy.

In partnership with the Head of Learning & Development, Sales Leadership, Commercial Enablement, and Marketing, the Sales Training Manager translates business priorities, go-to-market initiatives, and product strategies into scalable learning solutions that drive commercial performance. The role is accountable for developing trainers, elevating instructional excellence, aligning training investments to business objectives, and ensuring measurable impact on sales effectiveness, customer engagement, and organizational growth.

As a key strategic partner to senior leadership, the Sales Training Manager creates strong connections between training, marketing, and commercial teams to ensure consistent messaging, effective execution, and sustained performance improvement across the sales organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead a high-performing learning and development team, creating a culture of coaching, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Partner with the Head of Learning & Development to establish and execute a multi-year commercial learning strategy aligned to organizational growth objectives.

  • Serve as a liaison to Sales Leadership and Marketing, ensuring learning initiatives support go-to-market priorities, product launches, commercial campaigns, and business transformation efforts.

  • Build organizational capability by developing trainers into strategic business partners who influence performance and drive measurable business outcomes.

  • Lead the translation of commercial strategy into scalable training programs, field coaching initiatives, and role-based development pathways.

  • Maintain a strong field presence as a working manager by facilitating training, coaching sales teams, and modeling best-in-class sales and learning practices.

  • Ensure consistency and alignment of training delivery across zones, sales roles, and product portfolios

  • Provide direct leadership, coaching, development and performance management for Learning and Development teams

  • Establish clear expectations for training quality, consistency, execution and outcomes

  • Balance strategic oversight with hands-on engagement, including selective participation in classroom and field-based training

  • Oversee all new hire sales training programs to ensure accelerated time-to-competency and customer readiness

  • Ensure ongoing reinforcement and advanced training programs support sales professionals at all stages of development

  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure training reinforces core messaging and go-to-market strategy

  • Embed value-based and consultative selling principles into all training, tools and coaching

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and customer focus

  • Utilize success metrics to measure sales performance impact, adoption and behavior change

  • Utilize the Learning Management System to track and monitor training activities and reports

  • Continually evaluate all sales training activities to identify areas for improvement and drive overall effectiveness

  • Conduct regular field travel with new hires and identified sales representatives through working with the Leadership team, Sales Excellence Trainer and/or Product Trainers

  • Deliver and/or Assist in the delivery of additional formal training programs or take on other training roles and responsibilities that may be necessary to support the success of Siemens Healthineers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or relative expertise in business, healthcare, or related field

  • 10+ years' experience in adult learning principles and curriculum design

  • 8+ years of experience in leading commercial training teams, coaching and enablement processes

  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare diagnostics, with a deep understanding of the market landscape and customer needs

  • Sales skills certifications or advanced facilitation credentials a plus

Success Metrics

  • Reduce new hire time to competency by 20% within 12 months by implementing standardized role-specific new hire programs and structured field reinforcement with Zone Sales Trainers and Sales Training Specialists

  • Achieve a minimum of 5% improvement in at least two key commercial performance metrics (e.g. win rate, deal velocity, or average deal size)

  • Ensure 95% alignment to standardized training quality and delivery standards across all roles with an increase in both learner and sales leader satisfaction.

The base pay range for this position is:

$143,900 - $197,868

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
