Main duties and responsibilities The purpose of the Instructor's position is to train associates, using a combination of hands-on and classroom methods, on the safe and efficient operation of all wood panel production equipment, especially the press, refiner, and dryer equipment.

The position also ensures that once trained, operators continue to operate equipment according to specified guidelines and procedures. The instructor will assist in determining qualifications of operators for Grade A and B positions and will conduct progress reviews during training. Requirements Responsible for training press & refiner/dryer operators and issuing certifications to those who successfully complete the training program for Grade A and B Operators.

Responsible for maintaining all training documentation in audit ready condition. Responsible for creating and maintaining training materials to ensure continued company efficiency and quality requirements are met. Responsible for accurate, timely, and neat completion of paperwork.

Work closely with all team members, supervision, and leadership to identify, report, and correct existing or potential quality issues, productivity improvements, or cost reduction initiatives. Assure that all training courses are designed to produce maximum effectiveness, efficiency, improved quality, and increased production for the trainee. Works with operations management, safety, and quality representatives as well as operators to develop training materials, job aids, and documents for production training programs.
