Director Total Rewards Summary:

  • This position ensures that the organization's total rewards programs are contemporary, competitive, aligned with business goals, compliant with regulations, and support a high-performance culture.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • (Master's degree or relevant certifications such as CCP, CBP, or SPHR preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.

  • Benefits Administration: Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of health, welfare, leave, worker's compensation, retirement, and well-being benefits. Evaluate and recommend improvements to ensure competitive and cost-effective offerings.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all compensation and benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including FLSA, ERISA, ACA, and other applicable legislation.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data on compensation and benefits trends. Prepare and present reports to executive leadership and/or appropriate committees of the board, making data-driven recommendations.
  • Vendor and Partner Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, brokers, and consultants to maximize program value and service quality.
  • Employee Communication and Education: Develop communication strategies to ensure employees understand and appreciate their total rewards package.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of total rewards professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
