Job description

Missoula Children's Theatre is hiring a part time Patron Services Associate to join our team.
Job Summary
The Patron Services Associate supports the box office by assisting with ticketing, subscriptions, and support of all theatre visitors.
Essential Responsibilities of the Position
Patron Services
  • Provide excellent support to patrons, donors, volunteers, and guests.
  • Use the ticketing database (Patron Manager) to allocate seating and process orders.
  • Manage cash drawers, including credit card & other transactions.
  • Maintain all regularly scheduled ticketing, sales, and promotions tracking reports.
  • Assist Front of House as needed during performances.
  • Assist in creating upcoming sales campaigns.
  • Assist with reconciling financial reports and ticketing transactions with the operations staff.
  • Ensure that accurate ticketing information and box office policies are communicated correctly to patrons, guests, and visitors.
  • Input data and maintain accurate files on ticketing database.
  • Assist with supervision of volunteers as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining organization and physical appearance of box office, lobby, & concessions areas
  • Assist with merchandise and inventory.
  • Greet visitors and ensure that they follow sign-in procedures.
  • Answer incoming calls and transfer them to the appropriate recipients.
  • Assist with program registration as needed.

Marketing and Communications
  • Assist with the creation and scheduling of social media posts across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.), including event reminders, behind-the-scenes content, and patron highlights.
  • Capture photos and video content during performances, rehearsals, or special events for marketing use.
  • Support the marketing team in organizing and maintaining a content calendar.
  • Help design basic graphics or captions for email and social content using templates provided by the marketing team.
  • Update show information and events on the MCT website and community calendars.
  • Maintain customer contact records in the CRM (Patron Manager), including patron notes, email list tagging, and accurate data entry.
  • Collect email signups and support the distribution of e-newsletters or targeted campaigns.
  • Report trends or questions from patrons that could inform future promotions or marketing decisions.
  • Coordinate marketing collateral distribution (posters, flyers) to local businesses and community boards.
  • Provide on-site support during marketing events, press tours, or community appearances as needed.
  • Assist with digital ad campaigns, including tracking performance, gathering assets, and updating copy as directed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Friendly, helpful personality and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Customer Service experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills

Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge and/or interest of theater
  • Experience working in ticketing software, specifically Patron Manager
  • Experience working within streaming platform software e.g. ShowTix4U

Physical Requirements
  • May be sitting at a desk for periods of time that could exceed 4 hours with intermittent breaks as needed
  • May be requested to lift as much as 25 pounds.
  • May be requested to drive a company vehicle.

Equipment Used
  • Computer, telephone, copier, printer, fax machine, paper cutter, step ladder.

Schedule
This position is scheduled 20 hours per week. During our community show season, the schedule varies including days, evening and weekends. During off show weeks, the schedule is Mon-Fri from 12pm to 5pm
