Job description

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing prompt, courteous and efficient service to customers. Advise customers on appropriate merchandise and related items; processing transactions (cash, credit card, debit card) using retail software; ticketing and replenishing merchandise, cycle counting; general housekeeping of shelves, loss prevention, merchandising, restocking and staying current with trends in the industry:

Responsibilities:
 

  • Ability to work effectively and productively with others as a team
  • Excellent communication skills, customer service skills, and organizational skills
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with our team
  • Maintain strong knowledge of features and benefits of existing and new product line
  • Meet established goals as set by management
  • Assisting with minor resets and cross merchandising as necessary
  • Accurately complete order information, collect deposits and fees, keep orderly customer records, and research customer payments and deliveries Job Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years in the building supplies industry
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Working knowledge in the use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel
  • Ability to work store hours as well as weekends is a must
